The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is the lead development agency for tourism, one of Singapore’s key economic sectors. Together with industry partners and the community, we shape a dynamic Singapore tourism landscape. We bring the Passion Made Possible brand to life by differentiating Singapore as a vibrant destination that inspires people to share and deepen their passions.

About Passion Made Possible

Singapore is so much more than the sum of its numerous attractions.  It’s constantly evolving, reinventing, and reimagining itself, with people who are passionate about creating new possibilities.  It’s where foodies, explorers, collectors, action seekers, culture shapers, and socialisers meet – and new experiences are created every day.  Don’t stop at finding out what you can do when you visit.  Let our Passion Ambassador show you what you can be when you visit.  Because we’re more than just a destination.  So much more than just a checklist of exciting activities – Singapore is where passion is made possible.

The Last Overland expedition is aptly timed alongside the commemoration of the Singapore Bicentennial this year, exemplifying the strong historical ties between Singapore and the United Kingdom, whilst highlighting the spirit of collaboration between our two countries. The expedition is the very embodiment of STB’s brand, Passion Made Possible. Tim and Alex are testament to the fact that regardless of age, you can be empowered to do what you love, in this city of unlimited possibilities, and STB is indeed honoured to be supporting the team as they embark on this journey in the pursuit of their passions.
— Mr. Chang Chee Pey, Assistant Chief Executive, International Group, Singapore Tourism Board

Klareco Communications

Klareco Communications is a Singapore headquartered company with a rapidly expanding network of offices across Asia. They are recognised as the trusted advisor to many companies operating in Asia, as well as world-leading multinationals. Their best-in-class public relations services offer expert counsel to institutions and individuals. Klareco thrive on bringing clarity to complex situations and creating the most insightful communications solutions for their clients.

What are the limits of the possible? The 1954-55 First Overland expedition proved that the frontiers for overland travel stretched farther than anyone had managed to drive before – and that they were effectively about as far as it was possible to go without boarding an ocean liner. The Last Overland honours that spirit, demonstrating that age is no barrier, and that our world, in all its variety, continues to offer more hospitality than hostility. As a company dedicated to bringing clarity to complex situations, Klareco Communications applauds the spirit of boundlessness that the Last Overland extols. Its message is that where there is endeavor, there is hope.

Embarking on the journey is a testament to their courage, sense of adventure and commitment to persevering through a host of challenges. These are qualities we greatly admire at Stephenson Harwood, and so, quite apart from it giving us the opportunity to invite our friends and contacts to mark this auspicious occasion, we sponsored the expedition launch event in recognition of the symbiosis of our values and to offer our support to this incredible team.

nga architecture

block_gray.jpg

nga is an architecture and design practice specialising in bespoke high quality homes and hotels in the UK and abroad. Our aim is to create spaces that are subtle, elegant, timeless and concise, within a modernist aesthetic. Qualities that we are pretty certain were at the core of the design team that created the first Land Rover!

Growing up in Africa, often strapped to the roof of a Land Rover, I learnt to love these gentle beasts from a very early age. 40 years on, I still clatter around in an old series III, grinning from ear to ear.
That a group of relatively sane individuals not only want to test their spines across 16,000 kms of varying road surfaces, but also want to do it in the most iconic of Land Rovers, is testament to the spirit of adventure, the ongoing legend of the brand, and clear evidence that the world still is indeed a happy place. Bon voyage my friends.
